Back at school
Yes, it is already that time of year again, it seems like just the other day i was leaving MBBC, now, i am back. Oddly enough i am in the same room and on the same bed as last year, how boring. I am hear early because i am a room leader and i get to go to meetings and be bored until classes start on tuesday. One improvement i have noticed is that the internet is much faster which is great. One good thing is that i have all new roommates, not that my roommates last year were bad, it is just fun to have different people in your room. I have one transfer student from Tennessee who just told me he made the soccer team so thats cool and then i have 2 freshman coming in on friday. just a little update.
Vacation
I know this post is a little late but i just have not had the time to post about anything. sorry.
Well this year for vacation my family and I flew to Washington state were a good majority of my mom's family lives. This was the first time we have takin a plane, we usually drive there but with gas prices as high as they are it would have cost us just as much to drive as to fly. So instead of a 3 day road trip we took a 3 hour air trip. We stayed at my Uncle Jim's house the 10 days we were there. that was nice of them. We did many fun things while in Washington, we went mini golfing, my dad and i went real golfing latter and i got a birdie on a par 4 hole which was one of the top holes in the North West, it was awesome. One day we went swimming in the columbia river, a little cold. We spent a good amount of time at my grandparents house, that was good. On another day we took a trip with some family down to the tocannon (sp?) river and we fished and some swam. I caught nothin but it was still fun. At night we watched the olympics in HD at my uncle's house, that was sweet! Another day we went to my uncle Tom's house and did some swimming and had dinner. Thats all i can think of i am sure i am forgetting something. Well when it was all done i had a good time.

Spit
Yes, I am talking spit. Why am i talking about spit you might ask? Well, because i spit today and yes. . . it got me thinking. Who was the first to spit? Who thought up the idea to spit out the liquid that seems to just appear in ones mouth? Well i have no idea. What i do know is that they did spit back during Jesus times, because the Bible says that Jesus was spit upon. so we know they spit back in Jesus time. So who decided it would be better to spit or swallow that liquid that randomly shows up in your mouth. Oh, and another question, why is it called spit? Well anyways if you have any answers for these questions or if you just want to make up an answer, go for it, i don't mind.

News
I heard a couple news stories today listening to the radio that got me thinking and don't know what to make of them.
First story is about a police swat team who got rewarded for their bravery in a raid of a house. Sounds all good, right? But their is something wrong here, they raided the wrong house! So how did they get this reward for bravery? Well the man in the house had a shotgun, nothing wrong with that, it is ok to have a gun in your house. Anyway the man shot his gun threw the wall because he thought it was someone breaking into his house and he was just protecting himself. Well after he shot the swat team shot back, no one was hurt during all this. But these members of this team are getting rewarded for a mistake. They are lucky no one was killed.
The second story is how the congress passed a law requiring every, single family house, in Minnesota must have a carbon dioxide detector 10 feet from each bedroom. This is because a families daughter died because of carbon dioxide poisoning. truly sad. A few things about this law tho. How is the state going to regulate it? I can see them sending out people with a measuring tape and measure to see if the detector is 10ft away. so what if it is 10ft 1in away? do u get fined or something? I don't know, and another thing. these detectors are not cheap, 30 bucks is the cheapest. So the least the state could do is offer rebates or send out coupons for these detectors. Again, it is a good idea to have a detector in your house, because carbon dioxide is a deadly poison gas.
Those are just a few news stories that got me thinking.

Time?
Have people lost the concept of time these days? I bring this up because last night at about 12am. my neighbors decided to have a party. I was not asleep yet so i herd everything. what i herd was mostly girls and girls laughing, and at night sound travels farther (i don't know that as fact but i think it is true) So i am laying in bed listening to these people be extremely loud for the time it was. It lasted until about 1 maybe longer. To be honest i was very close to calling the cops, that is how loud they were. It seemed to me that they did not care for the time or anyone else in the neighborhood either. I finally got to sleep, don't know what time but i did. But wait there's more. This morning at 8 i herd them still as loud as when they started. My mom says it was the kids at night then their parents in the mornin but i think it was the same people. Either way people still need to realize the time of there parties and remember people do sleep. Am i against parties? No, parties are great, but when u have a party late at night, keep it inside or quietly out side.

Who am I?
I am 22yrs old, I am the second of 4 kids in my family: my brother (married) and 2 younger sisters, LeAnna and Katie. I attend Maranatha Baptist Bible College and i will be a senior in the fall, even tho i will not graduate for at least a year and a half. I am dating the most amazing person in the world, her name is Linzi Harrison and we have been dating for just over a year. The only problem is that she lives in Arizona and i don't. and she doesn't go to MBBC so i have not seen her in a while:( I love sports: hockey, basketball, baseball, soccer (kinda) and football. I do enjoy video games and movies i do not like horror movies, i prefer action and sports movies and a good comedy now and then. So that's about it.
